Candle Care Tips

Here are some tips for caring for Wood Wyck Candles:

Trim the wick: Trim the wick to about 1/8 inch before each burn. This controls the amount of wood available to burn, helping the candle burn more evenly. You can use a wick trimmer or gently pinch off the burnt part with your fingers.

Burn within sight: Never leave your candle unattended, and don’t burn it for more than four hours at a time.

Remove charred wood: Once the wax has cooled, gently scrape away any charred bits from the wick with a tool.

Keep away from children and pets: The glass container can get hot, so keep the candle out of reach of little hands and paws.

Use a snuffer: Extinguish the candle with a snuffer instead of blowing it out. This prevents the wick from drifting and stops hot wax from splashing.

Keep on a level surface: Always place the candle on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.

Keep away from drafts: Avoid placing the candle near windows, fans, or vents where drafts can disturb the flame.

Keep away from flammable items: Never place your candle near curtains, papers, or anything that could catch fire.
